CHRIS ROCK: KILL THE MESSENGER: Yet another classic Rock standup act that answers the question white people have wanted to know for years; When exactly is it appropriate for White people to use the “N” word?
LE SAMOURAI: This is the COOLEST movie ever made. It made me want to be a hitman! You get to wear a cool fedora, smoke countless cigarettes and sit alone in a hotel room for hours.
FIREFLY/ SERENITY: I finally got around to checking out this brilliantly cancelled sci-fi western. Joss Wehdon is the king of the one liners. Watch the show first, then wrap it up with the feature.

Meet Trevor Anderson

Trevor Anderson is a self-taught filmmaker and musician who
lives and works in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He has written
and directed five short films: RUGBURN (2005), ROCK POCKETS (2007),
DINX (2008), CARPET DIEM (2008) and THE ISLAND (2008). His films have
screened at dozens of international film festivals. RUGBURN has been
broadcast in the USA by MTV. At the Hot Docs Canadian International
Documentary Film Festival in Toronto, ROCK POCKETS won the inaugural
Lindalee Tracey Award, presented to “an emerging Canadian filmmaker
working with passion, humour, a strong sense of social justice and a
personal point of view.” DINX and ROCK POCKETS are currently shortlisted
for the Iris Prize in Cardiff, Wales. CARPET DIEM and THE ISLAND will both
be released in Fall 2008. Trevor also plays music with his band

6) Midnight Run (I cant believe its taken me this long to see this movie. Pee your pants funny, Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin are fantastic, but the best performance belongs to Dennis Farina, who’s blunt threats of brutal violence are at once chillingly scary and side- splittingly hilarious)

5) Freaked (AWESOME! Directed by Bill and Ted’s Alex Winter, this CRAZY flick has got everything; Humanoid Sock’s, Keanu Reeves as a Dog Faced Boy, Giant Philosophizing Worms and Mr. T as the Bearded Lady.)

4) Melvin Goes to Dinner (A very talky but very fascinating film based on a play. With great cameos by Jack Black and David Cross)

3) The Weather Man (Colour me Surprised! I hate Nic Cage with a passion, but this sweet, touching film about life’s dissapoinment’s and second chances stayed with me for days.)

2) Night of the Living Dead 1990 (I didn’t even know they remade this film, but SFX Guru Tom Savini, aka Sex Machine, keeps the social undertones of the original, while upping the gore and the scares, and introduces a refreshing gender swap of main characters)

1) The Long Goodbye ( A detective story where the detective dosent really do any detecting and nothing really gets solved. A minor Altman classic that features Elliot Gould’s best performance. Great Theme Song too!)

Tell No One- Awesome french thriller!
Gunnin’ for that #1 spot- Documentary about insanely talented teenage basketball stars in the US, hot sound track as well.
The Rape of Europa- Another Documentary, focusing on the art and collectibles that the Nazi party stole during WWII
Surfwise- Again a Documentary, about a Doctor who gives up his career and moves his wife and 9 kids into a 24 ft. trailor and surfs!  It’s awesome but sometimes pretty creepy!
Taxi to the Dark Side- Documentary!  Focusing on crimes committed by the US army on Afganistans inmates.
Off the Grid: Life on the Mesa- Documentary about people who remove themselves from society and live within a community in the dessert.
Billy The Kid- Documentary about a rad kid named Billy!  I love this kids vocabulary!
Global Metal-Canadian Documentary, 2nd installment on the incredibly entertaining subject…METAL!!!
